{December 31, 2008}   Bye-Bye 2008

What a RELIGIOUS year. I will review the stuff that stood out FOR ME:
BIBLE SPICE:

CHURCH SIGN

PRIEST: IF YOU VOTED FOR OBAMA REPENT

RICK WARREN, CAUGHT IN A LIE:

MUMBAI ATTACKS

RELIGIOUS RIGHT

LDS $25million to YES on 8

POPE: SAVE HUMANITY FROM GAYS AND TRANSEXUALS

Religion: “If you are a religious person, you understand that once religion takes hold in a society it can’t be stopped.”

Again, religion is a choice, but according to the religious right or zealots, it isn’t. They want to take away choices that every American should have a right to have. CHOICE, why want to take that away from someone? The taliban runs their country like an iron fist. Women do not have a say or a choice. Men don’t have a choice. Children do not have a choice. Is this what Christians want for the U.S.A? Remember, your actions will spurn hatred from a lot of people towards you…meaning, you want to take the rights of people away, based upon a choice that you made, people will react against you.

Christians tend to forget this:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. (Galatians 5:22)

When they try to overcome a Nation with their beliefs and their views they do not demonstrate any of the “FRUIT OF THE SPIRITS”.

Hopefully 2009 things will change, although, I don’t know.

So the whole time that the Christians were focused on the “gay agenda” and Rick Warren, the Atheists came up with a WAMMY!

SO HELP ME GOD

{December 29, 2008}   COLOSSIANS 3:5-11

Colossians 3:5-11

5Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[a] 7You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

immorality: the actual act
impurity: the thoughts
lust: seeing someone as an object for desire
evil desires: hummmm, pushing it to the edge
greed: wanting more, wanting what is not yours
anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language: get rid of all
do not lie to each other
CHRIST IS IN ALL

interesting…this covers a lot…i wonder who has all these bases covered? a lot of people would point the finger at homosexuals here, but if you don’t allow homosexuals to get married, how could they not be practicing sexual immorality? then they would say, but it is the sex, no, it isn’t because CHRIST IS IN ALL. i wished that people would get over the fact of the sex. the word homosexual did not exist back then. homosexuality was even practiced by King David, with Jonathan.

the explanation on Sodom and Gomorrah is very simple: i speak spanish. when there is lets say 5 women standing together the gender for “them” (the word used) would be feminine, but if out of the 5 there is one male, the gender for the word automatically changes to male, just because of that one male. the same goes for the greek word. putting that aside, if Sodom and Gomorrah had to do with homosexuals, why would children and women whom existed in that city be destroyed too?

IF YOU SAY A LIE OFTEN ENOUGH, PEOPLE START BELIEVING.

funny, only bits and pieces are taken and they aren’t even read throughout the context.

{December 28, 2008}   The Fallen Angels

Remember Jim Baker? Jimmy Swaggart? Ted Haggard? They were known as powerful Evangelicals. They constantly preached against that of which they were practicing on the side, leading a double life. Religion, is it about making money or power? It isn’t about teaching about the bible, because if it was then Christ would really be in their hearts.

In the same way, on the outside you look righteous to people, but inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.-Matthew 23:28

{December 28, 2008}   World without Religion

I am constantly amused by the banter of the religious zealots. They get really pissed off and if this isn’t their first remark, it is the last one before they stomp off: “THIS COUNTRY WAS FOUNDED ON RELIGION”…what a misconception. Our founding forefathers left a Theocratic country, do you honestly think they would want to re-establish a Theocratic nation? Use logic.

I am not against religion, if that is what you need. Honestly speaking though, what would the world be like without religion? I mean, currently there is a woman that is going to sue the U.S.A courts because a judge made her take her head scarf off, which is against HER religion. This past Christmas was a war…a religious war. You have the TALIBAN, JAHID, and remember the 9/11 attacks. Currently the Pope, or Holy See, is really laying it on thick against homosexuality, completely not mentioning the lawsuit heading in the direction of the Catholic church due to the cover ups of child abuse. You have the debate of the public school systems and the religious zealots wanting prayers in school and the banning of certain books and some are taking it further, the Creation vs. Evolution fight and it being taught.

Again, some need the direction, some need that “man” to tell them how to live their lives, it is understandable, but they don’t understand that others don’t need it. They just want to make their choice and force others to accept that choice and live that choice too, and when it doesn’t happen they get super pissed. There are a lot of good people out there that are not religious, it just comes innately from their core, from their compassion towards others.

A world without the religious zealots would be a lot more peaceful, it really would.

Do you remember Bible Spice? I bet you heard by now, her soon to be grandchild’s other grandma got arrested for dealing drugs. Interesting.

Don’t you find it interesting that her values and convictions haven’t really been present in a physical sense within her family? She has an unwed, pregnant, daughter. Her husband was bullying the police department to arrest his EX brother-in-law. They racked up over $20,000 in clothing expenses to her political party. She funded her personal matters that affect her and her family, instead of trying to rid, oh, I don’t know, drugs in her state.

I don’t hate her. I just find people like her, that constantly mention God, constantly try to push their personal beliefs on you, to have no control in their lives. It seems like they try so hard to mention they have high morals and have spiritual foundations in their lives, but it seems to not show.

A Pastor: Liar, Liar, Pants on fire!
John 8:44, Warren’s father is who?
Revelation 21:8: “But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”

{December 25, 2008}   christian comments

I blog for a site: lezgetreal. One of the bloggers wrote about the California lesbian that got brutally raped for being a lesbian. A person left a comment she mentioned the Holy Father, and the Ghost and believing in the Son, within that same sentence her ending was: look at it this way, “maybe this will cure her of her disease”.

What a Christian thing to say. Then they wonder why people turn their backs to God. The minute I read that comment, I felt hate in my heart and I felt it on Christmas Day.

{December 23, 2008}   Jesus Goes Shopping

{December 22, 2008}   I went to Church this past Sunday

With my sister. She asked me a couple of times, told me it was their Christmas special. She hesitated when she asked the first time, so I gave her a hard time. I actually had no problem going, but the way my sister approached me about it, I felt like I must seriously be walking around like them…you know, an ATHEIST!

She goes to a none denominational church. When we got there, they were handing out the days agenda and on the front cover it described the church: “OUR MISSION IS TO HELP UNCHURCHED PEOPLE BECOME FULLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST” (can i hear an Amen?)

It was fine. I’m glad to report that lighting did not strike me at my seat. It was only about an hour and a half. The discourse, or talk or sermon was interesting to say the least. Coming Home for the Holidays, Home being church. I took one of their free bible’s for my collection. I love bibles.

I really cannot have anyone, in a religious type of deal, telling me how to live my life. I realized it as I sat there. Don’t get me wrong, I have gone to other churches and I am open to learning about other faiths, but it does nothing for me inside. I don’t feel anything.

At least my sister and the kids were happy that I went with them.
