It seems like support for the LGBT community is considered a radical change to America. When they mentioned the 80 year old grandmother, I did a search. All the Christian blogs had articles on this 80 year old grandmother. This is what I found on the CBN News site:

73-year-old Arlene Elshinnawy was amongst 11 Christians that were arrested and charged under Pennsylvania’s hate crimes law (the Ethnic Intimidation Act), for “preaching the Gospel”. The arrests took place at a homosexual event. Keep in mind, the “homosexual events” are events that are City permitted ($). These people decided that they were going to enter the event and hold up their signs of condemnation and have a guy preaching through a loud bullhorn. To many, this is preaching, to those of us on the other side of the coin, WE DON’T WANT TO HEAR THAT AT AN EVENT THAT WE PAY MONEY TO GET IN. I looked for the incident on youtube and found a “re-creation” video from an organization called “Repent America”, which is the same organization that this grandmother was involved with.

Now, according to the CBN News site, Outfest organizers said that the Repent America protesters were trying to disrupt their event, were name-calling, and were trying to cause a riot. They also stated on this site that the answer of the Outfest organizers as to why the Christians were arrested and not the homosexuals holding the pink angels was: “Because we were given a direct order by the Philly Police Dept. to break our human chain. We obeyed. When they were given a direct order by the Police Dept. to move north on 13th Street, they decided not to.” Which, as you can see on the re-creation video, the Christians chose not to obey the authorities.

I don’t understand why the Christians always dramatize incidents and choose to lie when they state they are followers of Jesus.

If history showed that people were not discriminated against, because of their sexuality, then laws would not have to be set, but that isn’t the case. People have been killed, fired and mistreated, which is why our new President is choosing to enact laws that will make sure everyone is treated equally. Christians making a big deal of this shows that they would much rather discriminate and demonstrate bigotry which is ironic since the bible has specific scriptures on loving your neighbor.
