{February 17, 2009}   An “honor killing” in the U.S.A

How ironic. The wife was decapitated, allegedly by her estranged husband, in the offices of the television network the couple founded with the hope of countering Muslim stereotypes. This type of “honor killing” is native in their land of Pakistan. What animals.

He did the honerable thing and turned himself in.

How disgusting.

The Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has stated that a muslim cleric should apologise for a sermon that he made and is found here. He also stated Australians would not accept any forms of violence against women, adding: “Nor are they acceptable in my view to mainstream Muslim teachings.”

The cleric, Samir Abu Hamza, said in his sermon that it was a man’s right to demand sex from his wife whenever he felt like it. “If the husband was to ask her for a sexual relationship and she is preparing the bread on the stove, she must leave it and come and respond to her husband, she must respond,” Hamza was quoted as saying. Hamza also said Islamic law allowed men to hit their wives as a last resort but they should not bruise them or make them bleed, the paper reported.

While I was looking for the video I found this reply to the Prime Minister of Australia:

This kid feels that using a small stick, the size of your hand, is ok to hit the wife. How animalistic are these people? Seriously, you might have the “lowest rate of divorce” because you guys also state you can kill your wives, that is why!

What I cannot understand are these people migrating to civilized countries and then trying to act uncivilized on the basis of “religion”. Stay in your own country if you want to act uncivilized.

{December 2, 2008}   A Priest Giving False Testimony

At work, I was taking a picture of this…and a vendor tells me in Spanish: Super-Bama, let’s see how he works out. I agreed, then he said, “did you know he is a Muslim?” I asked him how he knew that. He said, “they say”. I asked who says that. He said, well people, the news. I said, “hummmm, what is your religion?” he hesitated and said, “Christian.” I said, “are you sure you are not Catholic?” He said, No. He then went on to say, “you know the difference between white people and black people are that black people always thank God, and white people just want money. I told him, his statement confused me. It sounded like he was doubting Obama, and now it sounds like he is talking crap about Bush, who happened to push his “Christian” agenda. He said he wasn’t doubting Obama, he voted for him and was wondering how he would turn out. I interrupted him (he was back peddling) and told him that he was raised by his mother and his grandmother…if he happened to have gone and visited his father and went to a mosque then so be it. The real story wasn’t known. I told him I had just watched a CNN report and found it “amusing” to say the least on how the Catholics are Anti-Obama. I told him I felt that Christianity…or Religious people should really not involve themselves in politics, if they do, they shouldn’t try to impose their beliefs on people. He didn’t want to talk anymore.

The point: A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will perish. (Proverbs 19:9)

Noun 1. false witness – a person who deliberately gives false testimony
